Uninstall Procedure

Our software can be uninstalled from the Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs dialog. This is often required for troubleshooting by our tech support team, so we also wanted to document what happens during uninstall for the various versions of the software.

Web Version

The web-download version of our application leaves all symbols and hierarchy files on your local hard drive to decrease the time it takes to quickly uninstall / reinstall / update the FSL software.

DVD Version

The DVD uninstaller removes the symbols and hierarchy files, because it has the capability to reload them from the disc. It will leave any updated zip files you have downloaded via the “Update Now” function.

Network Installs

The master network install has the ability to remove symbols and hierarchy files, but the client install does not.

Cleanup

If you want to clean up your hard drive thoroughly after an FSL uninstall, delete all the contents of the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SteelcaseFSL\ folder.
