Loading the FSL toolbar after install

Don’t forget to type “fsl” (without quotes) into the command line of AutoCAD or choose Tools -> Toolboxes -> SteelcaseFSL in MicroStation to load the FSL toolbar / menu.

For AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP 2010, there is one additional step to get the ribbon to appear. Read detailed instructions here.

New Features in 2.30

This is not a major feature release for the FSL, though some fairly major work has gone on “under the hood” to support more CAD platforms and to make downloads faster.

AutoCAD 2010, MicroStation V8i, and Windows 7 Support

AutoCAD 2010 support includes AutoCAD Architecture 2010 and AutoCAD MEP 2010.

New FSL Application Server

One of our frequent requests is to speed up the download speed of our application. While this won’t make the downloading of 3.5gb of content happen in snap, our shift to the Amazon S3 and Cloudfront infrastructure should significantly increase our download speeds around the globe.

We also deflated our symbol zip library from over 5gb to around 3.5gb, which allowed the application to fit on one DVD. That will also help with download times.

AutoCAD 2006 Support Dropped

With the FSL 2.30 release, AutoCAD 2006 is no longer supported – Autodesk also dropped support for all Autodesk 2006 products.

Was aware that AutoDesk Dropped AutoCAD 2006 Support !! They don’t mess about when it comes to making you get those upgrades !! Saying that though AutoCAD 2010 is the best one yet in my opinion !!! :)

They sure don’t, and we do our best to keep up supporting the new ones! :)

when I downloaded and installed FSL software, I only installed Context symbols.

Now how do I download and install another line?

    Hi Marty,

In the FSL menu, under Options -> Launch Catalog Manager.
