DWG Format to Change with 2.30 Release?

There is a very real possibility that we will need to upgrade our symbols from the 2004 DWG format to the 2007 format due to a legal compliance issue we need to resolve with Autodesk. We are curious about the impact this would have in our user community. We know this would disallow the use of the application in AutoCAD 2004-2006, but there may be implications to MicroStation, Sketchup, or other non-AutoCAD platforms that we are unaware of.

Am assuming that with the release of ver 2.30 that the change indicated above has been implemented.
What implications might there be for a dealer that is now migrating from AutoCAD 2006 (FSL 2.20) to AutoCAD 2010 (or 2011) and installing FSL 2.30?
Especially with regards to previously created dwgs — will these somehow be converted and continue to work with the new application versions (both ACAD & FSL)?
how do you open th fsl in AUTOcad? am i able to have a download version of the furniture and place it in my AUTO cad drawing? help!
